Fairy tale twist
We’ve had snow here in the UK! I decided to venture outside with my two new werewolf figures… I’m feeling the werewolf vibe at the moment. Re-watched Silver Bullet the other night, it’s been yeeears since I saw that movie! I just wish I could find 1/6 scale figures like these as I really like them. I had to use Palitoy Pippa in the Red Riding Hood role for this photoshoot as the boys would be dwarfed by barbie. I do love Pippa though as one of my vintage childhood dolls – such a sweet faced girl and I love how mature her figure is, although as a kid that irritated me as it didn’t fit in when I made her Sindy’s daughter!! You can’t see them on this photo but Pippa is wearing awesome thigh high red pleather boots! I think she looks perfectly serene surrounded by he snapping and snarling companions! Go Pip. I bought a Red Riding Hood inspired print from Etsy which I’m really looking forward to receiving – just need to find a good frame for it. I will always love Fairy tales – even though a modern spin on them is sometimes needed!

Xmas eve was ruined for me this year by BBC Merlin’s season five finale. I had the worst misgivings when I heard this was it … no season six. Complained to the BBC and was told it was not their choice but the creators … I just KNEW they wouldn’t finish it off satisfactorily in the little time left. Severely peed off by the whole thing. Where was the season where we got to see Avalon letting magic users and non magic users living side by side under Arthur’s rule? Where was the season where we got to see Merlin’s sorcery acknowledged at Court? Where we got to see Merlin treated with respect at Camelot as rather more than a servant? SO FRICKIN DISAPPOINTING! I just refuse, REFUSE to accept the ending. So instead I’ve decided to make my own 1/6 Arthur and Merlin who can help me forget my pain…
Arthur is Superman Ken with a different hairdo. Merlin is an Aaron Carter doll with his hair repainted.

In my 1/6 Camelot we are forgetting the ‘epic’ turn of the last couple of seasons. We will be keeping it light and fluffy with lots of bromance. Like it should have been to the end!!

I haven’t had much dolly focus lately, I think a combination of having a lot on and the fact I had burnt myself out doing the Endgame storyline weekend after weekend in September!
I’ve odered a few different bodies for my floating heads this month… I’m waiting for the mid sized obitsu body for my Stacey doll since I broke the first jointed body I put her on… : ( There will be skintone matching issues for definite though as Stacey’s head is tanned and the obitsu is pale even in fleshtone. Still, the Ninie body I had her on originally didn’t match either! I really liked it though so I hope I can get on with the Obitsu one. This is how she looked on the first rebody I did with her:

Then I ordered a jointed AA body for my floating Monsieur Z head thaat Erica gave me but sadly when it arrived, it was broken!
The ebay seller has luckily promised to send me another one replacing it … : ( Trying to think of what I can do with the broken body in the meantime. Somehow I doubt I can fix it with my amateur kit-bashing skills! I’ve tried three different types of super glue but none of them work darn it!
I wish I could find a 1/6 wheelchair – I’ve bid about 3 times on the barbie friend Becky wheelchair on ebay but I never ever win it! Also, I don’t know if it would look a bit too small using it for an Action figure…. hmmm. Maybe I should suggest on the My Froggy Stuff thread that she shows us how to make a 1/6 wheelchair!
Ummm, what else? I ordered a wall calendar using my doll photo’s from Vistaprint, I can’t wait till it arrives!
I made a bunch of 1/6 sweatshirts for my dolls when I had a few days at the seaside – I ordered some printable computer fabric and had a go at adding images to them. Pretty pleased with the results:
The pic below also shows a Sindy patio furniture set I bought recently and some cute shoes from Etsy worn by Chi-Chi…
The images were printed onto Pabric which seems to have worked pretty well, although I wouldn’t be suprised if the corners came away at some point and I had to add some fabric glue… Still, it makes the tops a bit more interesting. ^___^

Finally got to use my VW van which has been in my shed unused for a loooong time! I originally bought it to do a halloween barbie cheerleader story where their tour bus took a wrong turn and ended up in a spooky forest but I never got around to it. Have to admit that after trying to film in the crowded interior of this 1/6 vehicle I am not so sure I will EVER tackle that story now… every time Robert Chan lost his glasses or Megumi dropped her handbag it was sheer torture trying to force my hand between the seats to retrieve things… The interior is way too cramped! I wish Pedigree Sindy had done a bus – that would have been in proper scale. I have the range rover and it is freakin’ huuuuge!

(Okay, so I knew when I started this story that I had certain things/ elements that had to be included, but as per usual I did not anticipate how much work it was gonna be!! You’d think I’d have learnt by now! Still, I have to admit, I am really happy that I am doing this ‘properly’ instead of not bothering to tie up the loose ends and finish off the story of characters/ introduce new characters that I always intended to figure in this part of Masao’s story. ^___^
